Groundwork lessons
Groundwork builds a relationship between horse and rider. The lessons cover horse and handler respect, control and respect on the ground and teaching your horse maneuvers and trail obstacles from the ground.
Basic Horsemanship
A great introduction to riding both English and Western! Your lesson will cover learning to safely lead, groom and saddle your horse and arena time working on beginner riding skills.
Intermediate to Advanced Horsemanship Lessons
Lessons will start with assessing each riders level and ability and continue on building a relationship between the horse and rider. Walk, trot and lope or canter with collection and good equitation. Learn haunch, forehand and shoulder, control, lateral movement and collected stops.
Games and tricks Lesson
Advance your relationship and trust with your horse while having fun. Play an arena game or teach your horse tricks like laying down and picking you up for a ride or how to sidestep over to the stump and pick you up.
Clinics
Long Hollow offers practical and advanced horsemanship clinics instructed by our head wrangler Alicia. Alicia is certified by AHSA, DRA, and is also a Ken Mcnabb Journeyman trainer.Clinics cover basic to advanced skills in trail riding, arena riding and cattle work. Use a ranch horse or bring your own!
